Please click here to return to the home page.Text Box: The catalogue, known as PSW9, includes a description of each stamp included, together with a colour image of the stamp, for all items for which we have images available. The editor would appreciate receiving copies of images of those stamps for which no image is presently available. Presently PSW9 includes representation from over 200 countries and there are over 8000 stamps included. The scale of the catalogue is continually increasing, as new issues are made. A Committee reviews all new proposals for inclusion in PSW9 on a quarterly basis, and only those stamps that are approved by the Committee are included. But even this does not fix the catalogue contents You can easily change the size of images displayed in the catalogue to suit your requirements, with 9 options being available; alternatively an image can be viewed at the maximum available resolution, simply by clicking on it. The images in the sample page to the left are approximately mid sized. Using a smaller image allows many more stamps to be listed on each page, whereas the use of a larger image greatly helps identify stamps with which you are less familiar. Each stamp is given a number, using the PPSI numbering scheme. In addition we give the catalogue numbers used by the premier universal stamp catalogues, Scott, Stanley Gibbons, Yvert and Michel Each stamp is also given a category reference. This allows members to readily see to which category particular stamps relate, for example, to Drilling (D), Exploration (E), or Transportation and Storage (T) – as are those stamps shown to the left. In addition to the online version of PSW9, which is updated regularly, subscribers have access to a number of downloads, which readily allow the printing of checklists of all petroleum related stamps. These are ideal for members to use as the basis for a list of those stamps in their collection, or to prepare wants lists. The large number of stamps included in the catalogue necessarily means that the checklists are large documents – the A4 one comprises about 230 pages.
